Collaborative piece made with Chloe Ashley for "At the Violet Hour", Nayland Rock Hotel, Margate, February/March 2018, curated by Chiara Williams and Shaun Stamp. A sealed staircase within the hotel was transformed into a sacred space, offering fertility and death rites to ancient deities. Within the installation, pewter snakes appeared from a mass of sea coal, aromatic rosemary perfumed the shrine, a fertility stone was proffered, and lumen prints- created on the hotel terrace under the light of the January 31 super blue blood moon- were revealed. The component pieces are shown in situ at the Nayland Rock Hotel, and re-photographed at Limbo, Margate.
