Fernseh: die Suche (Arnis Quest)
This work continued the quest theme, setting instructions for the residency in Germany. Arnis is where the Angles came from so the work looked to sources such as the Sutton Hoo ship burial and Beowulf.
The boat was made from found wood and textiles, painted with bitumen and filled with reed bundles. Two bitumen painted willow runic "oars" lay on top of the reeds , representing the "guiding star" and the "cup pf plenty". The boat was positioned on canvas painted with boiled rose-hips, floating on a raft on the Schlei..
A net was made from found string, with 20 hours of labour in the knotting-the same time that the Angles spent travelling nautical knots to England.

The Quest instructions
Go, Daughter, from England, and travel to the people of Arnis, the Angle-folk, your kin from over the North Sea. Mend the wounds of our ancestors going away. Undertake this quest to join that which has been separated, and find that which has been lost.
For your voyage, carry that which should carry you. Your chosen transport will not touch the ground. Take with you an unwetted net to catch unseen treasure. Its knots will mark your progress and your journey will be 20 hours. At Arnis, perform these rituals to heal the separation of the Angles and together celebrate their homecoming:
Cross the Schlei with your vessel on the water, yet not on the water.
Twist ropes from that which grows where land meets water, and make offerings to the serpent that crosses the hearth. So we shall honour all creatures that share our land.
Use the ash of the equinox to remember our Angle forefathers.
Find cold fire where it sleeps in the water. Take it and bring it to life.
Collect the water of Schlei and join it to the white rock of Albion. Thus is the far brought near.
And this shall all be done 5 days after the balance of day and night, and 3 days after the harvest moon, for the moon must be the witness of your deeds.
Geh, Tochter, aus England und reise nach dem Volk von Arnis, dem Angel-Volksstamm, deinen Verwandten von über der Nordsee. Heile die Wunden, die verursacht durch die Abreise von unseren Vorfahren wurden. Unternimm diese Suche, um das, was getrennt war zu wiedervereinigen und zu finden was verloren ist.
Für deine Reise, trage das, was dich tragen soll. Dein gewähltes Transportmittel wird die Erde nicht berühren. Bring ein unbenutztes Netz mit um ungesehene Schätze zu fangen. Seine Knoten werden dein Vorwärtskommen markieren, und deine Reise wird zwanzig Stunden dauern. In Arnis, verrichte diese Rituale um die Trennung der Angeln zu heilen, und feiert zusammen deine Heimkehr:
Durchquere die Schlei mit deinem Schiff über dem Wasser, aber nicht auf dem Wasser.
Drehe Seile aus dem Material, das wächst wo die Erde und das Wasser zusammentreffen, und gib Spenden an die Schlange, die deinen Herd durchquert. Wir sollen alle Kreaturen, die mit uns das Land teilen, ehren.
Benutze die Asche der Tagundnachtgleiche um an unsere gemeinsamen Vorfahren zu erinnern.
Finde das kalte Feuer das im Wasser schlaft. Nimm es und erwecke es zum Leben.
Schöpfe Wasser aus der Schlei, und vermähle es mit dem weißen Stein von Albion. So ist die Ferne nahe gebracht.
Und das alles soll fünf Tage nach der Tagundnachtgleiche und drei Tage nach dem Herbstmond gemacht werden, weil der Mond der Zeuge deiner Taten sein muss.
