Gone to Earth forms part of my on-going investigation into human histories contained buried within the environment. The work presented at Limbo is inspired specifically by the history of the isle of Thanet, and references settlements, woodland, and fields lost to urbanisation and coastal erosion.

The works are constructed from a mix of unglazed ceramics and hand sewn, plant dyed textile fragments incorporating sheep’s wool and locally found vegetal matter.
